I am a North Carolina Native who grew up vacationing in Brunswick County. My husband and I moved our family to Shallotte in 2005, and we love the laid back lifestyle the Brunswick County beaches have to offer.
My “real job” is middle school media coordinator, which affords me summers to work on my passion, sharing fitness with anyone who is willing to reap the benefits. During the summer of 2014, I began teaching private yoga classes to vacationers to the islands, and I’ve decided to take this offering to the next level.
I am so excited to be offering yoga to you in your home in beautiful Brunswick County! I have enjoyed the benefits of yoga for over 20 years and thrilled to share them with you!! No matter what your fitness level, there are poses that will benefit your body and spirit.

Colleen moved to North Carolina from New Jersey after retiring early from a fifteen-year career as a high school administrator. She also has extensive experience as a coach in the sports of softball, basketball and indoor track and in the management of organized athletics. Colleen has been a life-long athlete in competitive sports and has always remained committed to exercising and staying fit. After many sports injuries and subsequent surgeries, she came to her senses and realized she needed to exercise in a different manner. She began taking yoga classes back in New Jersey and was then introduced to Pilates when she moved here to North Carolina. Colleen immediately saw the benefits of both types of exercise and became certified as a Mat Pilates instructor after a year. She has also completed a 250 hour Vinyasa Yoga certification with Aura Wellness Center in Attleboro, MA and feels that the practice of Yoga in combination with Pilates is a tremendous one-two punch in the fight to increase the strength and flexibility, which becomes even more crucial as women age.
